PROJECT ASK:

This project began as a heartfelt commission from my father, who asked me to create an art piece that truly embodies my mom. I conceptualized the idea and brought it to life through a multi-step process. Starting with a rough sketch, I drafted the layout in Procreate to perfect the composition. I then transitioned to canvas, using acrylic paint as the foundation. To deepen its meaning, I incorporated photos of the important people who shaped her life, adding a mixed-media element. Gold leaf was applied to enhance dimension, while resin infused with glitter provided a glimmering finish that reflects her love of all things shiny. The result is a vibrant, layered piece that captures her essence and celebrates her story.
